Lindsey Jackson has taught Chorus and General Music at Knox Doss Middle School since 2005. This will be her third year at KDMS. Prior to teaching at Knox Doss, Ms. Jackson student taught at Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro, TN and Freedom Intermediate School in Franklin, TN.
Ms. Jackson grew up in Hendersonville and graduated from Hendersonville High School. She was a member of the HHS Band of Gold, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Concert Chorus and Select Chorus. She was also selected to perform with the Tennessee All-State Band and the Tennessee All-State Women's Chorale. Ms. Jackson attended Middle Tennessee State University where she graduated with a B.M. in Vocal/General Music Education. While at MTSU, she was a member of the MTSU Band of Blue, Symphonic Band, Clarinet Choir, and Concert Chorale. Ms. Jackson recieved the Liberal Arts Award for Most Outsanding Vocal/General Music Major two years consecutively in 2003-2004 and 2004-2005.
Ms. Jackson is a member of Middle Tennessee Vocal Association, Tennessee Music Education Association, Music Educators National Conference, American Choral Directors Association and Delta Omicron Professional Music Fraternity. She is also an instructor at Young Scholars Institute in Franklin, TN where she teaches pop music and drama courses every summer.
Ms. Jackson resides in Hendersonville. Her interests include playing with her two dogs, scrapbooking, playing softball, rooting for the Titans, and NASCAR.
